The house of the craftsman of the XVII–XVIII centuries is one of the most outstanding examples of the life, daily life and work of the Turkistani pottery’s master. The main facade of the house faced a large market street, so the ivan entrance was a shop, selling owner’s finished products. The area of the house is 278.5 sq. m. and includes a several residential and utility rooms, which shows that the owner was a wealthy.
During this period, Turkistan had a prosperity in pottery and developed an original and unique style of pottery. Professional craftsmen had their own stamps - seals.
