Voyakin Dmitryi Alekseyevich

Research adviser of the “Restoration of historical sites of the Kultobe settlement” project

Dmitryi Voyakin is a well-known specialist in archeology and preservation of historical and cultural heritage. He is coordinating a number of large-scale International research projects by the UNESCO and ICOMOS. Also, he is working on new cultural heritage preservation and cultural heritage restoration concepts.

Voyakin D. A. is a director at International Institute for Central Asian Studies (Samarkand, Uzbekistan).

Head and a member of many International archeological and regional expeditions in investigation of the Silk Road sites.

Since 2019, research adviser of the “Restoration of historical sites of the Kultobe settlement” project.

His research publications interests include ancient Kazakhstan cities studies and sites of the Silk Road in Central Asia.  He actively publishes scientific results as well as appears as scientific editor.
