Elbasy about Turkistan: the city will grow

It is necessary to hold various forums, youth and sports events here – N. Nazarbayev.

According to the Elbasy`s website, Nursultan Nazarbayev was presented with the  "Caravanserai" complex and revealed information about the results of archaeological research on the territory of the "Azret Sultan"  reserve-museum. The Elbasy also spoke about the projects implemented in the framework of the execution of the protocol instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, given in August this year.

Elbasy noted the high rate of construction of tourism and urban infrastructure.

Nazarbayev stressed that the decision he made in 2018 to revive Turkestan supported by the people of the country.

«Today we got acquainted with the new objects of Turkestan. They will become new sights of the city, points of attraction for citizens and tourists from all over Kazakhstan and the world. The large-scale construction of Turkestan is an impetus for the economic development of the whole region», - said the first president of the country.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the location of the city, also its status as one of the most important spiritual centres of the Turkic world, will serve as a future platform for Central Asian integration.

«We planned to hold a Summit of Turkic-speaking countries in Turkestan. Due to the situation in the world, it was postponed. I think that if everything goes well, we will take him to Nauryz», - said Elbasy.

During the presentation, a necessity to continue the construction of tourist infrastructure and the implementation of transport and logistics projects was noted. 

Elbasy also pointed out the importance of creating a comfortable living environment for citizens and guests of Turkestan.

«I am sure that the city will grow and its population will grow. It is necessary to hold various forums, youth and sports events here. Thus, we should present and show the city to everyone. The revival of Turkestan has a special significance for our people», - said the first president of the country.

Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed confidence in the further development and prosperity of the city and the region.

In the end, Elbasy held a briefing for the media and got acquainted with the museum, located in the new  visit-centre of the "spiritual capital of Kazakhstan".
